Most of my current work features two glaze patterns, L and LR.  L (landscape)  is a combination of brown, tan , blue and green glazes applied creating a landscape appearance.  LR is the same with the addition of a red glaze. 

The nature of this handmade stoneware is that each piece is unique.

All pieces are inscribed on the bottom with "Ulmer"

I put drinking vessels in the freezer to chill them for serving cold drinks, and in the microwave with liquid for warming and serving hot drinks.  I use my casseroles for baking hot dish recipes in the oven.  I do not use plates or platters in the oven or microwave.  I have been using my stoneware like this, as well as cleaning the pieces in a dishwasher for many years with good results.
